Main pipe inspection

The cameras can be used in all pipes from 4 inches and upwards to 1000 mm, and can be accessed via mini inspection chambers and other modern chamber types.

The camera is mounted on a self-propelled tractor which is controlled from the operator inside the vehicle.

The TV vans are equipped with up to 600 metres of camera cable

On the largest equipment, we also have drop measurement equipment

Documentation

All documentation relating to the filming shall be sent to the client electronically or on a USB stick, together with a detailed written report, once the assignment has been completed.

Density control and pressure testing

Pressure testing

When we carry out pressure testing, a specified pressure is applied to the pipeline to verify that the pipes remain leak-free at a pressure higher than the operating pressure

Reporting

The results are summarised in a graphical report, to which the full log is also attached. This provides added reassurance for both the customer and the cable owner. All documentation is supplied in both digital and paper formats.

Measurement results

The measurement results are stored electronically and followed up with detailed written reports, based on the Norwegian Water Standard

Leak test

We also carry out leak tests on gravity-fed pipes and manholes. The principles here are the same as for pressure testing

Disinfection and cleaning

Disinfection

We disinfect all types of water pipes by pumping a sodium hypochlorite solution into the pipework

Method

The method complies with the Norwegian Standard. In the vast majority of cases, water pipes are cleaned using a foam jetter.

Quality assurance

After a job like this, the pipe is always disinfected, and a water sample is submitted for analysis

T-search

Vitek locates all types of pipes using a probe that emits high-frequency sounds

The probe is inserted into the pipes using a camera or a spring probe

The sound is picked up by a receiver on the ground, which gives us the exact location of the pipes
